The Feelings Follower
Your heart gets a vote, sometimes the deciding vote.
Your strength
You are emotionally present, responsive, and open to genuine connection. You are willing to feel deeply, stay engaged, and let yourself be moved instead of approaching dating from a distance. That openness is a beautiful part of who you are.
What to watch for
Strong feelings can begin doing the work that time, character, and consistency are supposed to do. Chemistry can be meaningful, but it is not the same as compatibility. You don't have to distrust your feelings — you simply don't have to let them make every decision before someone has had the chance to show you who they are.
Three things to try
Separate feelings from facts. After a date, write down what you felt — and what the person actually showed you. Give both the feeling and the evidence a place.
Look for patterns, not isolated moments. Notice whether their words and actions remain consistent over time. You deserve more than a promising moment; you deserve a pattern you can trust.
Slow down the story. When you begin imagining the future, return to what you genuinely know today. Let the relationship unfold before your hopes have to carry it.
Ask yourself
What do I know about this person that has nothing to do with how they make me feel?
Your type can reveal a pattern, but it does not define you. The goal isn't to stop feeling or become guarded. It's to let your feelings and your wisdom work together, so you can stay open without losing yourself.
Have a type. Just don't let your type have you.
